Wednesday Writing Prompt #6

Write a Clogyrnach, a welsh form of poetry. It contains 32 total syllables over a 6-line stanza. The first two lines contain eight syllables each. The third and forth lines have five syllables. The last two lines should have three syllables (these two lines may be combined to form a 6-syllable line). The rhyme scheme is aabbba.

Death Means Free

The pounding of the drum chills me,
The calm before the storm at sea.
Fwap, fwap! – arrows fly.
Strike!  My brothers die.
Mothers cry.
“Death means free.”
