Georgia Snowpocalypse 2014

Luckily, we’re a little bit more used to snow up here in North Georgia than the folks down in Atlanta and south. Greg and I got home safe and sound, and it only took about 10-15 minutes longer for us to get home than usual when the University closed yesterday. It really didn’t snow too awfully much, not even enough to completely cover the taller springs of grass. So it wasn’t a really pretty snow, but hey! it finally snowed.

I took a few pictures of the snow yesterday as it was coming down. Then this morning, Greg and I bundled up, leashed the dogs, and went for a walk in the winter wonderland.

  1. I missed the last Georgia Snowpocalypse by a few months, and I just moved out of the Atlanta area last month. I was afraid I would miss it again, but I ended up getting some after all! Glad to see you survived. Also, it’s good to know that every place in the south doesn’t flip out when snow flakes fall.

    1. Yeah, they waited too late to get the buses and by then the roads were such a mess that a lot of people got stranded. There were several places that stayed open to give shelter for those who were stranded. I know a lot of the area Home Depots, Krogers, churches, and fire/police departments opened their doors last night.
